a friend of mine hasn't got a job.

which friend isn't the point of this, though more than one person might think i mean them, potentially. i shall clarify, for those already aware of the situation:

this particular friend has been trying to get a job for way too long, and hasn't recently succeeded.

recently, some anonymous LJ comments were posted against this friend's state of joblessness, and the fact that i do my best to help.

to you anonymous commenter(s), if you have the time to make those comments, then surely you have time to HELP the situation, perhaps by finding an employer in need of a dedicated employee?

lest you think that she does nothing in exchange for my help, let me assure you, this is NOT the case. due to me being myself, i'm in need of help to a great extent in the domestic skills, and my friend gives a LOT of help in this area.

my friend has a variety of marketable skills; those who are aware of the situation and find themselves with time to spare might inquire of her as to what those skills might be, and to what extent.

normally, i don't like to get embroiled in this kind of drama, but this hit VERY close to home. comments are screened, so if you believe you have something to add to this, i'm willing to listen.

So now I'm mostly over this cough/cold/flu/whatever that's been kicking my ass. Except it's stuck in my lungs. Pneumonia?

If that's what it is, then I've had it for years. Even doctors miss a cough in large lungs.

i suppose i just want to let folks know i'm still around. hi people.

it's sunday before my mom's birthday.

as usual, i've done little to nothing, expect nothing, get a family get-together anyway.

i'm grateful for my family... but i STILL hate holidays.
